The University Club of San Francisco Presents

2009 PayPal World Doubles Men's and Women's Professional Doubles Tournament

Since 2004, each Spring, the University Club of San Francisco has hosted a Professional Doubles Squash Tournament sanctioned by the International Squash Doubles Association (ISDA) with great success and fanfare. This year, the Club has embarked on the most ambitious event to date with the hosting of the first ever World Doubles Men's and Women's Professional Doubles Tournament. As many as 32 men's and 16 women's teams representing the best the world offers will be at our club from May 7th - 11th.

The event is made possible with generous support from our title sponsor, PayPal, and all profits from the event will support US Squash's junior doubles development efforts.

The tournament will have 3 main features: the Main Professional Draws, a Pro Am, and a Juniors Qualifying Tournament.

The Pro-Am tournament (limited to 32 players) in which 32 amateurs will be paired with the professionals competing in the tournament. An auction will be held for the privilege of playing with the top seeded professionals. The minimum entry fee to play in the Pro Am is $500.

Over the weekend preceding the Worlds weekend, there will be a singles tournament featuring the top juniors in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sponsored by the Jesters (an international racquets fraternity), the top two finishers will each earn a spot in the Pro Am tournament.

On Thursday May 7th, a Tournament Reception will be held at the University Club. All the professionals competing in the tournament will be attending.

Admission will be $25.00 for the event. $50.00 If you would also like to attend the Tournament reception. Look for more details soon to come.

Hope to see you there.
