2010

BC Doubles: Doubles Tournament Participation

Doubles BC wished to determine what players want, and/or expect, in a tournament for the entry fee they pay. To that end, a brief survey was conducted in June 2010.

A summary of the responses is available on-line.

2009

WSF Mandates Switch to Point a Rally

Effective April 1st, 2009, squash scoring world wide will switch to Point a Rally to 11 (PAR-11) for all levels of play. This unifies scoring for all squash organizations, and is hoped to help squash become an Olympic event.

Because of concerns expressed by many members, Adam Radziminski requested that we record the stats on as many singles matches as possible, using the various scoring systems: current Hand-In Hand-Out (International) scoring to 9, PAR-11 and PAR-15. Members were asked to try the three scoring systems in their regular matches and record the stats for each match.

A textual summary of the responses is available on-line. As well, a graphical representation of the results for best of 5 matches is also available.
