Getting There
There are two basic approches to getting to the Evergreen Doubles Ladder web site. They are akin to taking a shuttle (because you are afraid of turning your body into a bunch of data in a plasma field), or using the transporter. We will start with the first approach.
Taking a Shuttle
Begin by going to the Quick-Draws home page:
http://quick-draws.com/
Then, in the upper left of the content area (below the header),
ensure that Squash is selected as the sport, BC as
the Province, and click Go.
You should now be at the main Squash page for BC. Now, click Club Ladders in the menu on the left. This will take you to a page listing all the current BC club ladders.
At the listing of clubs with ladders on Quick-Draws, click "Evergreen Squash Club".
You should now be at the Quick-Draws club ladder page for Evergreen Squash Club.
That's it for those with transporter aversion.
Now, we're pretty sure you won't want to go this route again. So, please, bookmark the page appropriately in your browser of choice, and from then on, use the bookmark.
Using the Transporter
Simply use this link: http://www.quick-draws.com/ClubLadders/ClubLadders.php?cid=133
Once there bookmark the page appropriately in your browser of choice, and from then on, use the bookmark.
Viewing the Ladder
At the moment we maintain our singles ladder with GigaSports. Quick-Draws provides the service for our Doubles Ladder. To view the ladder, click Doubles Ladder in the menu at the upper-left of the content area.
The ladder page looks like this (partial view). You will need to use
the scrollbar, or Page Up & Page Down keys,
to view the remainder of the ladder
Posting Results to the Ladder
To enter results you must login in.
See the Evergreen Squash Club ladder home page for directions on obtaining a password — required to log-in.
Quick-Draws was provided a list of players (not the entire club roster) along with e-mail addresses. When you request a password, the system checks that you are on the list, and that the e-mail address you provide matches Quick-Draws records. If the request fails you may not be on the list, or the e-mail address on file is not a match. If your request is rejected, and you have multiple e-mail addresses, try one of your other e-mail addresses. If all fails, contact Evergreen’s doubles director. At this writing, that is Tim Martin.
Logging In
While on one of the Evergreen Squash Club ladder pages on Quick-Draws, click "Member Login" on the menu (top left of content area).
Javascript required
The log-in page requires Javascript to function properly.
When presented with the log-in page, you will need to:
- Enter characters of your surname in the appropriate box as required. As you enter characters, the box below will display possible choices.
- Once your name appears in the box below, highlight your name. Note, you may need to scroll down to find your name (e.g. if your surname is Smith, not so much if it is Kochanski).
- Once you have highlighted your name, enter your password.
- And, finally click
Submit.
If you have forgotten your password, or do not yet have one, you will,
instead, need to enter your e-mail address in the appropriate box,
and click Send.
Recording Match Result
Once you are logged in, you will be presented with the member's page. Here, click "Enter Doubles Match Results" to continue.
Should you wish to change your password, e-mail address, or other contact info, click "Edit Your Profile" and proceed accordingly.
You will next be presented with the match entry form. You will need to:
- Specify the date of the match. Can not be more than 5 days in the past.
- Specify the match score (in games).
- Identify the winning pair.
- Identify the other players — your partner, and the opposing pair. This uses the same process used to select your name when logging in.
- When satisfied that the above information is correct, click
Save Matchto record the result on the Evergreen Doubles Ladder, and in the BC rankings (if appropriate).
Don't forget to logout when done.
