With the spring approaching,
you may wish to adjust your in-house doubles player profile. You can't do this on
the web site. However, a note to Lynn Broman will do the trick. Player preferences,
as used for this week's schedule, can be viewed on-line.
Stuff happens, so be in touch with the others in your foursome

If you are unable to make your match, you are responsible for arranging
a suitable replacement.
In-house Doubles — Ladder
Lynn uses the Evergreen
Doubles Ladder to give guidance in setting up the foursomes
for in-house doubles.
Consequently, you are encouraged to record all your doubles activity
on the club ladder. The more data, the more reliable the rankings.
We have fairly detailed information about getting
a password for the club ladder on Quick-Draws, and, thereafter,
scores available on-line.
In-house doubles — Want to join in?
Let Lynn Broman know if you wish to be included. Please, specify wall, and preferred days (Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday).

September 22. As usual that will mean that Thursday evenings
will not be available to in-house doubles for a number of the Thursdays
during the season. The currently schedule dates are:
- April 5 — @ Evergreen (6,7,8,9pm)
In-house Doubles — Player Contact
E-mail links have been added to the in-house doubles schedule.
Some players are not receiving the e-mails sent via this system. Since it doesn't
affect all, or even most, players, we suspect that the failures are the result of
spam filtering on the recipients e-mail provider. That provider may be one of the
ISPs (Shaw, Telus, etc), or one of the web e-mail hosts (Google, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc).
It is therefore recommended that everyone check the settings on the spam filter
for their particular provider. And, regularly check their spam folders. Those using
Google, Hotmail, etc will likely have to use "web mail" to see the spam folder.
In order to facilitate communication with your fellow matchmates, and
the contacting of possible spares, we have added e-mail links to the
links to work.
If you click on any name in a match, a pop-up form will appear on the screen,
giving you the ability to send an e-mail to everyone in the foursome. Once the
form is completed and submitted, if everything checks out, an e-mail will be
sent to the others in the foursome (assuming you are in the foursome). If you
are not in the foursome, it will be sent to everyone in the foursome.
If you click on a name in the "Scheduled to Play" or "Spares & Others" list,
a pop-up form will appear on the screen, giving you the ability to send an e-mail
to that individual. Once again, if everything checks out, the e-mail will be sent
to the individual whose name you clicked on.
In all cases, the e-mail will show you as the sender.
A tentative subject is provided, feel free to change it.
The names do not display as links but, the cursor will change
to a "link pointer" when you hover a name which will open the e-mail pop-up.
We believe this adequately protects the e-mail addresses of
the in-house doubles players; yet, provides useful functionality for all
in-house doubles players.
