Evergreen Friday Night Doubles

Results: 2008.10.10

2nd FND! again hotly contested!

This week we had a much different line-up out for FND!, but no less competitive. Evening organizer Tim Martin was paired with Rob Forrest, and looked to be the strongest team of the night based on the round robin result of 3/0.

The rest of the teams were in a tie for 2nd, and the opportunity was there for me as co-organizer to design a tie breaker system to insure my place in the 1/2 final – but alas, no creative math was forthcoming and by several methods of breaking the tie, Rob Dubois and Adam Jinks battled for first.

Tim and Rob prevailed to take top honours and the huge cash prize, along with one week's worth of bragging rights. The 3/4 match ended up with Sibley and Kerluke edging out Patrick Au and Hamid – nice to see a new young doubles player with tons of talent.

The night ended as follows:

First:Tim Martin and Rob Forrest
(3-0 in round robin)
Second:Rob Dubois and Adam Jinks
(1-2 in round robin)
Third:Scott Sibley and Les Kerluke
(1-2 in round robin)
Fourth:Patrick Au and Hamid KhosorowKiani
(1-2 in round robin)

Stay tuned for next week's edition of FND!.
